Hyderabad July 31: Another Milestone has been Achieved.
Hyderabad Metro Rail Authorities have completed the construction of Rail over Bridge (ROB) at Malakpet.

HMRL Managing Director NVS Reddyhas said that we have completed "The main span of Malakpet Metro ROB covering a length of 164 feet in just 25 days this month and this is a new record in the country in ROB construction".

He has also said that we have overcome many engineering challenges.MD has also praised the engineers for completing the task of launching segments of ROB during three-hour period after midnight as permitted by railways.

Officials said that Railways has granted a 3 hour block period during which train operations were suspended for executing the works.

Engineers have said that they have divided the ROB works into 3 parts and has we have followed "Bridge Builder" technique which was followed in the construction of Begumpet ROB.
Finally, MD has expressed his happiness over the progress of metro construction and has said that we have recently completed Begumpet ROB in Corridor 3 and completion of ROB on Maklakpet in 
NH 65 would make sure that corridor 1 LB Nagar to Miyapur would soon be a reality. The main features of the ROB are 

* Length 394 ft.
* Height 58 ft.
* Central span length (over the railway tracks): 164 ft.
* Weight of each segment 45 tons.
* Length of Bridge Builder 45 ft.
* Width of Bridge Builder 17 ft.

Let's hope that HMRL complete remaining works soon so that Metro rail would become a reality.
